Mr. John Hong went to the U.S. in 1990. After obtaining a B.S. in Computer Science and a M.S. degree in Computer Engineer both from Mississippi State University, he started his professional career in Silicon Valley in 1994. In 1998, he founded a small E-commerce consulting company called Webston, whose clients included public B2B pioneers like Chemdex and etc. Mr. Hong came back to China in the end of 2000, raised 4 million U.S. dollars and started VisionNex, a web video conferencing software company. VisionNex was later acquired by a NASDQA public company called Radvision. After that, he served as CTO in multiple Internet companies including Zhongtong, UP Tech and China Broadband Media. Before joining HC360.com, Mr. Hong was the VP of Technology in Linktone (NASDAQ: LTON).
Mr. Hong has 7 years of high-level technical management experience in multiple startups and a NASDAQ public company. In Silicon Valley and from 1999 to 2000, he was the president of SCEA, one of the largest local Chinese professional organizations.
Joining HC360.com in October 2007 as the CTO, Mr. Hong’s rich experience in team management and his deep understanding of different Internet technologies will bring HC360.com’s product and engineering capability to the next level.
